Rhinoplasty — Before & After
Rhinoplasty is one of the most common cosmetic procedures worldwide. It can reduce a dorsal hump, refine the tip, narrow the bridge, correct a deviated septum, and rebalance the nose with the rest of the face. Recovery involves visible swelling for 2–3 weeks and continued refinement for up to 18 months.

Frequently asked
How long until I see the final rhinoplasty result?
Most visible swelling resolves in 2–3 weeks, but the tip continues to refine for 12–18 months. Patients with thicker skin tend to take the full 18 months.
Is open or closed rhinoplasty better?
Neither is universally better. Closed leaves no external scar and tends to have less swelling, but open gives the surgeon direct visualization needed for complex tip work or revisions.
Will rhinoplasty change my breathing?
It can — for better if you also address a deviated septum or internal valve collapse, or for worse if structural support is compromised. A good surgeon evaluates both form and function.
What does rhinoplasty cost?
In the US, primary rhinoplasty typically runs $7,000–$18,000 depending on surgeon, region, and complexity. Revision is usually higher.
